Transmission date for Jordskott confirmed

If you’re in London this weekend, the Scandinavian-themed media festival, Nordicana, is a must visit. Not only does feature appearances by The Bridge’s Sofia Helin andThe Killing’s Sofie Gråbøl, but also cast members from a new Swedish drama that could become our next Scandi obsession. And now ITV has announced when it will start.

Jordskott is a gripping Nordic mystery thriller set in Sweden. Seven years after the disappearance of her daughter Josefine, police investigator Eva Thörnblad is still trying to cope with the grief of her loss. Even though her daughter was said to have drowned, Eva knows in her heart that someone took her child on that fatal day by the Silverhöjd lake, so when a young boy goes missing in the same forest Eva returns to delve into the dark mystery that haunts her. As she is drawn into the investigation she learns that there are much deeper and darker forces in operation but how far is she willing to go to protect the one she loves?

Look out for it NEXT WEEK. It starts on Wednesday 10th June, 10pm on ITV Encore.

Great premise, mostly shit execution and all-around laughable acting. But I did watch until the end here in Sweden. I wonder how it will be received in GB. Perhaps the bad acting won’t translate, at least…

Thanks J… I think anything from Scandinavia has instant cache here in the UK. Looking forward to seeing how this one goes…
