Stan_Lee_s_Lucky_ManTwo episodes into this supernatural crime procedural and Harry Clayton (James Nesbitt) is starting to feel the weight of the bangle, both physically and mentally. Although it gives him untold luck, it also puts him into some tricky situations – his partners die and he’s seemingly a suspect in every murder case because his new lucky intuition puts him at the scene of the crime every single time. If that’s a better life, give me something different. Should’ve gone to Ratners, Harry.

Peaky Blinders is one of those shows that has accumulated a loyal, cult following, thanks to its hugely stylised, violent portrayal of early 20th century gangland life in industrial Birmingham and the stories of the mercurial, enigmatic characters who are trying lift themselves up out of the filth. We’ve covered it on and off here at The Killing Times – there has always been a debate about whether it’s purely a crime drama – but we recognise that people want to know about the show. And with series three finished filming and now in the post-production process, we heard some news yesterday that should get fans excited.
