I have to admit, I didn’t love series one of Safe House (I copped some stick for that from the writer). Despite good pedigree both behind and in front of the camera, it just didn’t do it for me. No matter: it did pretty well in the ratings and ITV commissioned a second series, but shook up the writing team and refreshed the cast, too. Christopher Eccleston and Marsha Thomason were pencilled in as the returning custodians of the Lake District-based guest house that doubles up as a safe house for those needing a place to hide, so who else is joining them?
