Line Of Duty poised to move to BBC1

On a day where I read that one Mirror journalist frothed that Line Of Duty was as good as the Godfather trilogy and was the best TV drama from the past decade (woah there Tonto), and that US viewers can, from today, watch the show via Hulu, there was also news coming out of the BBC itself – the show may switch channels onto the corporation’s flagship channel.

Oh, the irony! Jim Gordon’s in jail for a murder he didn’t commit, that of Riddler’s patsy, while we know he should be in jail for a murder he did commit, that of Theo Galavan. One way or another, he’s in for a rough ride in Blackgate Prison.  

Mads Mikkelsen: We want Hannibal to return for a fourth season

Hannibal is one of our favourite crime dramas. Its gloriously trippy, nightmarish retelling of the Hannibal Lecter story, starring Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy (among others), has, during its three series, pushed the boundaries of taste and credulity for US network dramas. Its charmed life seemed to come to an end last year when its home network, NBC, pulled the plug on the show, leaving fans aghast. But, just when you thought that Lecter and co were dead…
