Last week’s opening episode of The Secret – based on a true story – was gripping, tense viewing. And that’s about the greatest compliment you can pay to a story where the ending is out in the public domain – even though we knew that the lustful affair between Colin Howell and Hazel Buchanan was going to end badly, we couldn’t help watching to find out how they were going to get to that disastrous point. If the first episode was all about fire and sex and internecine attraction, this second episode was gruesomely detailed and equally as engrossing. Stephen Graham to star in Channel 4 CCTV thriller
We’re big fans of Stephen Graham here at The Killing Times. The acclaimed actor and Hollywood star has floated our boat in such things as This Is England – for which he is BAFTA-nominated – Pirates of the Caribbean and Boardwalk Empire. Line Of Duty confirmed for BBC1; fifth series commissioned
The BBC know a hit when it sees it. Line Of Duty – that breathtakingly high-octane police corruption series – hit record viewing figures for BBC2 for its finale a few weeks ago. We brought you a story last week (here, if you want to read it) bringing you news that the BBC was thinking of switching it over to its flagship entertainment channel, BBC1.
