Peaky Blinders renewed for fourth and fifth series

624Well now. There’s a LOT of news about at the moment, mostly concerning some of the big hitters in crime drama. Another piece reaches us this morning, concerning one of BBC2’s most talked-about dramas – Peaky Blinders, that feral depiction of gangster life in early 20th-century Birmingham.

The BBC has been announcing some its new drama projects for the coming year, as well as some if its renewals. One of them is Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, which has been recommissioned for a fourth and fifth series.

We’re currently half-way through series two, where the Shelby clan has become embroiled in an arms deal storyline involving Russian gangstersĀ as well as themes of revenge. Paddy Considine’s Father John Hughes has been particularly pleasing in this series.
