Some seasoned pundits are calling Group A the ‘group of death’ and we can see why – Spiral, The Fall, Trapped and Mammon are all fighting for two places in the quarter-finals. We head back to this group today to check in with one of the tournament favourites, Spiral, who are unbeaten at the moment.
Yesterday’s game saw two unheralded teams – Spain’s Falcón and Switzerland’s 10 – go head to head. It was a tight, cagey affair.
That leaves Group D looking like this:
The Killing (P2 W1 L0 POINTS 6 WM +180%)
The Lens (P2 W1 L1 POINTS 3 WM +35%)
Falcón (P2 W1 L1 POINTS 3 WM +8%)
10 (P2 W0 L2 POINTS 0)
Now then, onto today’s game…
REPRESENTING FRANCE: SPIRAL (SEEDED TEAM)
Form guide: Out of all the teams in the tournament, Gallic series Spiral boasts arguably the best team. It’s led by the indestructible Laure Berthaud, and backed up by the faithful Gilou Escoffier, the wily Francois Roban and the dazzling Joséphine Karlsson. Sadly, Pierre Clémont is unavailable for selection for this tournament (and all future tournaments).
REPRESENTING NORWAY: MAMMON
Form guide: An interesting selection, Mammon’s star striker – journalist Peter Verås – should cause problems with his tenacity, but don’t expect Mammon to get past the group stages.
It’s Spiral’s final game in the group stages. Can the French fancy go through unbeaten? VOTE NOW!
VOTING FOR THIS FIXTURE ENDS AT 12PM ON MONDAY 27TH JUNE
