It’s very much as you were this week, with crime dramas on every single night of the week if you want them. The only difference this week is that there’s a new series starting on Amazon – Sneaky Pete (pictured above), starring Giovani Ribisi and Bryan Cranston. Looks good. Enjoy!
It’s hard to believe but 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of Rebus, Ian Rankin’s brilliant detective and brilliant, award-winning, best-selling series. Twenty books later, Detective Inspector John Rebus is now an international institution, not only a publishing phenomenon but also a very good TV adaptation. It started with John Hannah, but really took flight when Ken Stott took on the role and even though there haven’t been any new Rebuses in a few years, you can still catch them on channels like Drama and Alibi in repeat form. In the meantime, Rankin has announced that there will be a Rebus Festival in June to celebrate the anniversary.
