I’m not going to lie: the whole concept of data and identity theft scares the brown out of me. It’s just one of those things; the idea that someone nicks your identity and forges something new and out-of-control is genuinely ridiculous but terrifying. So it’s not without caution I recount this piece of news to you: Amazon Prime will be showing a new German series called You Are Wanted, which deals with this very same subject.
Look out – there’s a new New Zealand-based crime drama on the horizon. Showing in the UK on UKTV Freeview channel, Drama, the series bolsters the southern hemisphere’s strong showing on British TV in February (Australia’s The Kettering Incident starts on Sky Atlantic this week). The good news is that you can watch The Brokenwood Mysteries from this Friday in the UK.
Anything to do with Trapped – The Killing Times’ best crime drama series of 2016 – and we’re all over it. That show’s creator, Baltasar Kormakur, has recently opened his own studio, RVK, in Reykjavik and he revealed at the Berlin Film Festival that his next project would be a supernatural thriller based around the island’s Katla volcano – a volcano that could erupt at any given moment.
