Snatch, the TV series based on Guy Ritchie’ loathsome 2000 movie, debuted on Sony Pictures’ streaming service in the US back in March, and it boasted a decent cast – Luke Pasqualino, Rupert Grint, Dougray Scott, Vincent Regan, Phoebe Dynevor… the list goes on. Despite poor reviews (quelle surprise), the 10-episode series has finally found a British home.
The story goes like this: Informed by a real life gold bullion heist in London, the show centers on a group of twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.

The show has been picked up for UK broadcast by AMC – exclusively available on the BT platform – on 31st October.
