Netflix releases final Stranger Things 2 trailer

One of the big things coming up in the next few weeks leading up to Halloween is series two of Netflix’s much-loved cult hit, Stranger Things. The crime/horror mash-up took the world by storm last year, its pitch-perfect homage to Stephens/Stevens King and Spielberg, it weaved a supernatural, conspiratorial story around a small-town mystery. Now Netflix has released a final, extended trailer, which is sure to massage expectation and interest even further.

It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

“These aren’t nightmares,” says the Sheriff Hopper. “It’s happening.”

As ever, there are some lovely period details to enjoy in the production design, and the plot – including a returning Eleven – looks to delve into the mysteries of the Upside Down even more.

Stranger Things 2: from Friday 27th October, Netflix
