Transmission date for The Bridge IIII confirmed

It has been a long time coming – too long a time coming. But now we know and I’m not going to waffle on because everyone’s keen to get on with it, so simply go over the jump to find out when series four of The Bridge will be broadcast on BBC Two. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

One thing to note: there will be no episodic double bills as there has been on BBC Four in previous years. No, there will be one episode a week for eight weeks.

Here’s BBC Two’s trailer:

And here’s The Bridge UK’s facebook page:

Although the final schedules for this particular week come out tomorrow, it’s safe to say that this will be the launch date for series four.

The Bridge IIII: Friday 11th May, 9pm, BBC Two

Famously, noir finales are best enjoyed at midsummer when it’s still light out and birds are chirping at 10 pm.

What a shame they are doing 1hr slots per week – will lose some of the atmosphere I believe as you get so wrapped up in the show… and will run in to the world Cup of course… Also interesting to note they removed dialogue from the trailer so as not to show subtitles – fearful of putting people off i suppose…
