Transmission date for The Sinner II confirmed… in the US

Last year, The Sinner provided plenty of thrills and spills, despite a ludicrous and ickey pair of final two episodes.

We’ve been following the progress of series two. There will be no Jessica Biel this time around, and Carrie Coon will take the lead role alongside Bill Pullman.

Series two will bring Detective Harry Ambrose (Pullman) back to his rural New York hometown to investigate a new, gruesome crime: parents murdered by their 11-year-old son, with no apparent motive. Also joining the cast opposite Pullman and Coon are Natalie Paul as Heather, a local detective-in-training who calls for Ambrose’s help, and Hannah Gross as Marin, Heather’s high school best friend, who disappeared from town.

We hear that series two of The Sinner will premiere on the USA Network on 1st August.

As for a UK transmission date, Netflix is still keeping schtum. We’ll keep you posted.
