Martin Compston shares Line Of Duty 5 script tweet

Increasingly, Twitter is becoming the go-to place for the latest news especially when you get actors tweeting about all kinds of stuff the newspapers or websites don’t get a hold of.

One such actor who likes to tweet is Line Of Duty’s Martin Compston, who shared this little nugget yesterday.

Not much a news story, granted, but it’s great to see that production is kind of underway (full production is set to start in September), and the hope is that we’ll get series five sometime in the first quarter of 2019.

Nothing much is known about the plot of series five, but showrunner Jed Mercurio has said: “As we saw for season four there were characters who had been in season one, who had been absent for two seasons and then they are involved. We look at things on a season by season level.”

Production begins on series two of Dark

Netflix’s German crime/supernatural drama, Dark, made it into our top 10 of Best Crime Dramas last year.

The, well, dark show beguiled and unsettled in equal measure and helped to kick-start Netflix’s commitment to drama sourced around the globe.

Now we hear that series two – which was commissioned pretty much during the first series – has now begun production.

Den Of Geek reports that:

Eight new one-hour-episodes are filming in and around Berlin, where Odar and Friese are set to introduce “new characters and new time levels, both in the past and future.” Said new cast members will include Sylvester Groth (Inglorious Basterds), Winfried Glatzeder (The Last Summer Of The Rich) and Sandra Borgmann (In July).

The site also carried an image of the script.
