BBC releases new autumn drama trailer

Now the World Cup is done and dusted, attention turns to regular scheduling and the upcoming autumn season of crime drama.

Yesterday the BBC released its new autumn drama trailer, full of treats like Doctor WhoLes Misérables and Jed Mercurio’s Bodyguard. But forget those: there are a few bona fide crime dramas in among them. Can you spot them?

Yes, we have Luther coming up, we have Sarah Phelps’ adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The ABC Murders (with John Malkovich as Poirot), there’s the Jenna Coleman-starring psychological thriller, The Cry, and we have the much anticipated Killing Eve. There’s also a John Le Carré adaptation – The Little Drummer Girl – but we probably won’t be covering that one because… well, it’s more of a spy thriller.

Still, lots to look forward to.

Looking good. Don’t know much about many of these, but definitely looking forward to the ones I do know, ie Luther and The ABC Murders. Is there a similar list of the ITV dramas? What’s their game plan for the second half of 2018? I’ve often found it difficult to written information about upcoming UK dramas, so I do appreciate this list. Cheers!
