BBC acquires Killing Eve series two

In a move that has surprised absolutely nobody, the BBC has acquired the rights to show the second series of BBC America’s Killing Eve in the UK.

Based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings, the series has been a huge success in the US and now here in the UK.

Emmy-nominated and Bafta-winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge adapted the first series and will return for the new series in an executive producer role with writer-actor Emerald Fennell (currently appearing in Call The Midwife) taking over as lead writer.

Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are set to resume their cat-and-mouse game in the next series along with Fiona Shaw  – and joining them are Nina Sosanya, Edward Bluemel and guest star Julian Barrett.
