BBC releases new ABC Murders trailer

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: we can’t wait for Sarah Phelps’ adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The ABC Murders, which plays out over Christmas on BBC One.

The main reason we’re looking forward to it is seeing John Malkovich’s Poirot – a new spin on an old character.

And wouldn’t you know it, there’s a new trailer out that gives us our first, significant look at this new incarnation. We can see him move and even talk.

The ABC Murders is set in 1930s Britain and follows Poirot as he faces a serial killer known only as A.B.C. As the murder count rises, the only clue is the copy of The ABC Railway Guide at each crime scene. Poirot’s investigations are thwarted at every turn by an enemy determined to outsmart him. If Poirot is to match his nemesis then everything about him will be called into question; his authority, his integrity, his past, his identity.
