Netflix confirms transmission date for series two of Suburra

Italy’s relationship with organised crime is a long and storied one, and when it comes to TV a few high-profile series have attempted to explore this uneasy accord.

First we had the globally successful Gamorra, and then, shortly afterwards, came the less heralded but still gritty and watchable Suburra.

It all starts in 2008, and a fight over land in a seaside town near Rome, which spirals into a deadly battle between organised crime, corrupt politicians and the Vatican.

Now we know when series two will hit. Here’s a trailer:

Suburra (Series 2): From Friday 22nd February, Netflix
