We’re on tenterhooks waiting for the transmission announcement for series two of Mindhunter.
The Netflix series was named our Best Crime Drama Of 2017 after a remarkable study of psychopathy and serial killers and now, it seems, our wait might be over soon.
One of the show’s producers, Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, let slip on the Howard Stern show that series two would be coming back to the streaming giant in August.
The Independent reports: When asked about the follow-up, Theron said: “Season two is coming out in August. Yeah, can’t wait. Deep, dark… it’s wonderful.”
Written by British playwright Joe Penhall, and directed by David Fincher, series one featured FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench.
They attempt to understand and catch serial killers by studying their damaged psyches.
Along the way, the agents pioneer the development of modern serial-killer profiling and meet with real-life serial killers, such as Edward Kemper (pictured above).
Series two will revolve around the Atlanta child murders.
