The Sinner releases first trailer for series three

USA Network’s The Sinner has become one of the better crime anthology series out there.

The show, which has aired globally on Netflix, has now released its first teaser trailer.

In the first series, Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Ambrose) delved into the past of a troubled young mother, in order to determine why she fatally stabbed a man during a beach outing but has no memory of why she committed the crime.

Series two saw Ambrose return to his hometown of Keller, Upstate New York, to help investigate a double murder with Heather Novack, an old acquaintance’s daughter who has just made detective. A couple were found dead, apparently poisoned, in a motel room. Carrie Coon was the series’ main guest star.

The third season follows Ambrose as he begins a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester, in upstate New York. Ambrose uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career.

Matt Bomer will play Jamie, an upstanding Dorchester resident and expectant father who looks to Ambrose for support in the wake of an accident.

The key revelation is that this will be back early next year, not at the back end of this year as first expected.

Really like this series! Very good mystery that keeps me guessing how things will turn out (there’s usually a twist).
