The prolific Fflur Dafydd is a friend to The Killing Times, and her latest crime drama for S4C – The Museum – has been in production for a while now.
Sadly, like many other dramas, its production has been affected by the COVID pandemic. However, there’s good news oout of Wales today – the series has now wrapped filming and is on schedule to play on the channel in June.
Dafydd said in a tweet: “My new drama will hit your screens in June!
“Written against all odds in lockdown!”
Dela Howells (Nia Roberts) is a successful woman, a loyal wife to Alun (Steffan Rhodri) and a loving mother to two children Daniel (Samuel Morgan-Davies) and Mags (Mared Jarman). She has just accepted a position as director-general of the museum and life is good.
On the same night as celebrating her new job at a museum party, she meets Caleb (Steffan Cennydd) who has come as a guest to his gay son Daniel. Dela is completely captivated by Caleb and falls into a furious relationship with him. But a robbery is taking place at the Museum and Dela discovers that Caleb has been drawn to his arms for the purpose of finding some of the museum’s hidden treasures.
Dela’s situation is rapidly deteriorating as she is absorbed into a pool of villains around the city of Cardiff.
