Twin Peaks casting news: Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore and, erm, David Lynch join cast

PDVD_014For a series that struggled to get off the ground, the new runĀ of Twin Peaks is certainly starting to shape up quickly. Not only that, but a report overnight suggests that the cast is swelling considerably, even in strictly a conjectural form. It’s exciting news, too, but we have to remember this: Kyle MacLachlan is the only actor confirmed for the new series. But the new names are intriguing, nonetheless. They (and you can count me in with the ‘theys’) jumped for joy when it was announced that David Lynch and Mark Frost would be back to collaborate on a new series of the cult classic, to be made by US cable network Showtime.Ā Then Lynch pulled out because of a contract dispute; then he was in again. Twin Peaks fall-out: Petition created and cast create video plea

Laura_Palmer[1]The fall-out from David Lynch’s stunning withdraw from the new Twin Peaks series – made by US cable network, Showtime – has taken a predictable turn. A petition on Change.org has attracted 11,000 signers and even the cast has made a little video expressing their dismay at Lynch’s self-omission from the much-anticipated sequel series.
