Grantchester recommissioned for 10th season by ITV

Cosy crime is all the rage these days, so it’s no surprise that ITV has recommissioned Grantchester for a 10th season.

Robson Green and Rishi Nair will star as DI Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram respectively. The ninth series in which Tom Brittney (Reverend Will Davenport) leaves, and newcomer Rishi Nair is welcomed into the cast, is expected to air on ITV in 2025.

In addition to Robson and Rishi, other returning cast members include Al Weaver as Leonard Finch, Tessa Peake-Jones as Mrs. C, Kacey Ainsworth as Cathy Keating, Oliver Dimsdale as Daniel Marlowe, Nick Brimble as Jack Chapman, Bradley Hall as DC Larry Peters and Melissa Johns as Miss Scott.

It will air, once again, on MASTERPIECE PBS in the US.

  1. Sadly it’s in the ‘not as good as it used to be’ pile and on the cusp of ‘it’s gone on too long please put it out of its misery. Series seven was terrible, eight was better, but it will be interesting to see if this new partnership helps or hinders it.
