Earlier last year we reported that filming for series 20 of that venerable crime drama staple, Midsomer Murders, was under way. It has taken a while to get to our screens, but now we can reveal that ITV has confirmed the transmission date for that landmark, 20th series. And it’s sooner than you think.
Joining the team in this new, six-part series will be redoubtable new pathologist, Dr Fleur Perkins, played by Annette Badland (EastEnders, Outlander) who will assist Barnaby and Winter in their pursuit of justice in the picturesque but deadly countryside of Midsomer.
Also returning this series is Fiona Dolman as Sarah Barnaby followed closely by Paddy the dog as the Barnabys’ faithful canine companion. As ever, there are plenty of guest stars to look out for.
Midsomer Murders: Sunday 13th May, 8pm, ITV
I recall Annette Badland as the office girl in Bergerac in the early 80s…

If Series 20 starts on May 13th, do we have any idea when we’re going to get the final 2 episodes of Series 19. They were broadcast in August last year in Australia but thus far they haven’t been shown in the U.K.
