Norwegian crime-writing legend, Jo Nesbø, is to be showrunner on a Netflix adaptation of his iconic detective, Harry Hole.
Nesbø has written 13 Harry Hole novels, with this series seeming to focus on The Devil’s Star.
Nesbø said in a Netflix event in Stockholm that although the actor to play Hole has yet to be selected, “I envision a kind of Gotham City version of Oslo” to be the location.
Filming is scheduled to start in the summer.

At the same event, Netflix announced The New Force, a 1950s-set drama about the first female graduates from Sweden’s police academy.
